50 for 50: Anniversary Fundraising

This week, 58 students graduated from the Department of Geography, Planning & Sustainability (GPS), joining you in our community of incredible alumni! That's 58 graduates from the School of Earth & Environment dedicated to creating a better, more sustainable future for our region and beyond.

As we wrap up our year-long 50th anniversary celebration, we hope to honor the memory and legacy of our department's founder and legendary geographer Dr. Marvin Creamer.

We are grateful for the continued support from alumni like you and invite you to make a gift of $50 – for 50 years of excellence – to the Marvin & Blanche Creamer Scholarship or a gift to the department in support of generations of GPS students.

GIVE NOW

Formerly known as the Department of Geography & Anthropology and then Geography & Environment, our program has grown immensely in the last 50 years, but our commitment to understanding the world, the environment and the people who impact them remains the same.

I hope you’ll consider making a gift today – ensuring that students in today's Department of Geography, Planning & Sustainability are championed by those who came before them.

Sincerely,

Kevin Keenan, Ph.D., AICP
Associate Professor and Department Chairperson

P.S. Make a gift today to support GPS students while honoring the legacy of Dr. Creamer!
