Rowan University Students Attend National Planning Conference in Philadelphia

The Department of Geography, Planning, & Sustainability sponsored 12 student attendees for the three day in-person National Planning Conference in Philadelphia.  Professor Megan Buckum, the faculty advisor for the Rowan University Planning Organization (RUSPO), coordinated and brought undergraduate and graduate students with planning minors or majors to the conference (April 1st through the 4th) to attend sessions detailing national planning projects and trends. The conference provided participants with the opportunities to learn more about the professional field of planning, network with companies and organizations that hire planners, and experience a large national conference.

The Department of Geography, Planning, & Sustainability sponsored the New Jersey American Planning Association’s reception to welcome attendees of the national American Planning Association’s 2023 conference in Philadelphia.  Faculty, staff, and students gathered for a photo along the Delaware River as the sun set.
