"An Assessment of Green Infrastructure Planning: Philadelphia-Camden-Gloucester City"
Rosalie Hood
For her senior seminar research project, Rosalie Hood set out to understand the economic, political, and social barriers smaller municipalities face in attempting to bring their green stormwater management plans plans from projection to implementation. To answer her research questions, Rosalie spent time conducting interviews with Gloucester City and County planning professionals and local government employees. She is seen here talking with Andrew Levecchia, the Director of Planning for Camden County, who is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Geography, Planning, & Sustainability. The results of this research suggest the importance of green stormwater infrastructure for small municipalities, both with and without combined sewage systems, as most communities are seeking to minimize the social, environmental, and economic costs of increased flooding resulting from increased urban development and climate change.
