Geoscience. The Minor in Geoscience includes coursework in physical geography and geology. By taking course in the Minor students will be introduced to the varied physical landscapes found on earth and the processes that have contributed to their formation. This Minor is an excellent complement to students majoring in all degree programs in the department.

Global Issues. The Minor in Global Issues allows students to specialize in the application of geographic approaches to contemporary world problems.

Sustainable Built Environments. The Minor in Sustainable Built Environments is a program our department shares with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rowan. Students in the Minor take classes from both departments that emphasize the environmental dimensions of building and site design, and offer students the chance to learn and apply skills relating to the booming 'green building' industry.

Sustainability Science. The Minor in Sustainability Science combines the study of sustainability with the scientific method. It focuses on natural and social science. Students in this minor will study sustainability utilizing the scientific methods as applied to both social and natural questions.

Dual Major: Geography & Education
Our department, along with our colleagues in Education, offer students a dual major program in Geography and Education, which is aimed at training the next generation of geography and social studies teachers.
