Mock Planning Board Meeting

Members of Professor Bucknum’s “Planning Communication” graduate course and Professor Paxton’s “Planning Practice, Law, and Ethics” graduate course teamed up to conduct a mock planning board meeting as an application of course content within a professional scenario.   Students in Professor Paxton’s course were given a planning scenario to which they needed to respond with an applicant planner’s proposal and a board planner’s response.  Planning Practice, Law, and Ethics students also drafted scripts and responses reflective of an actual professional planning board hearing according to the fictionally assigned roles for students.
