Department of Geography, Planning, and Sustainability

The Department of Geography Planning & Sustainability (GPS) is a dynamic department composed of our faculty, staff, and students. Our faculty are an energetic group who value both student learning and innovative scholarly and applied research.

The Department currently has about 200 majors spread among our degree programs in GeographyEnvironmental & Sustainability Studies, Geographic Information Science, and Community and Environmental Planning.

The Department of Geography Planning & Sustainability is located on the third floor of Robinson Hall.

Our department is also proud to represent Rowan University as part of the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability and to serve as the conduit for student participation in the PSE&G Institute for Sustainability Studies Green Teams internship program.
