For Students

For Students

Prospective students

Students in the School of Earth & Environment learn the issues and acquire the tools to make a difference in the world. We engage students in active learning both inside and outside the classroom, through individual- and team-based problem-solving, collaborative research, field experiences, internships, and other activities. Programs in each of our three departments are globally focused and experientially driven.

All of our degree programs prepare students for immediate career opportunities and serve as a springboard for those wishing to pursue graduate research degrees or professional degrees.

Only a diverse workforce can effectively address the environmental challenges that confront humanity. By creating an environment that encourages students to bring their whole identity into learning, we help students thrive as they advance their careers. Thus, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are not goals, they are requirements to achieve our goals.
